The house said they are not lifting the ban on the use of Twitter, the report came when the House was considering the report of its Committee over the issue.
The Twitter is still been used by Nigerians despite the ban placed on it, which is been accessed by the use of VPN, Virtual Private Network.
The federal government had said they will deal with whosoever is found violating the use of Twitter.
The House then mandated the committee on Information, ICT, Intelligence, Justice and Orientation to do proper investigation on the circumstances of the suspension made by the Federal Government.
As they checked through the report from the committee, the deputy Minority leader of the house, Toby Okechukwu, suggested that there should be an amendment to one of the recommendations.
The recommendation was that the federal government should take cognizance of the negative effect of the use of Twitter suspended on Nigerians, if it has any effect on the livelihood.
The motion for suspension was rejected by majority of the house, after they had a vote.
