The Democracy day which happens to be today June 12, was planned to be a day to protest, by some activist in which they tagged it #BuhariMustGo, it has been planned over some weeks and it is now in action.
When asked why Mr President made the June 12, the Democracy day, taking it away from May 29, He said it was to prove their commitment towards Democracy.
The protest was planned to fight against bad governance, public corruption, all forms of mis-administration, and the recent increase in insecurity in the country.
Just like the #EndSARS protest in the October in the year 2020, the same protest is what we see happening today with no central leadership, just some activist in the Federation.
Report has it that the protest hit the Federal Capital Territory, (FCT), where we see Sowore lead the protest, and also we gathered that, there was heavy attack between the peaceful protesters and the police.
The protest was also seen in Oyo state, majorly in Ibadan, and we gathered that the governor of the state, Seyi Makinde appeared at the protest ground and spoke with the protesters.
The protest was also seen at the Akure in Ondo state. Also there were reports of clash between police and the peaceful protesters in Lagos state as well.
The ban of Twitter didn’t allow so many Nigerians to do their online protest just like the #EndSARS that happened last year.
What can you say about this reports, do you see any of these actions do something positive things to the nation?
