The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari has announced Monday May 24th as work-free day for all the members of the Armed Forces.
Mr. President have also directed that the national flag should be flown half-mast to honour the late Lt.-Gen. Ibrahim Attahiru and other 10 military personnel who lost their life in a plane crash in Kaduna on Friday.
Meanwhile, the president has assured Gen. Attahiru’s widow, Fati, and others in a phone call conversation that the “nation will not forget the supreme sacrifice of your spouses.”
Boss Mustapha who is the Secretary to the Government of the Federation has said that the President has directed that the national flag should be flown at half-mast in all public buildings, facilities, and official residences with effects from Monday May 24th and Wednesday May 26th.
The wife of the late General,Mrs. Attahiru, appreciate the President for his compassion.
