Bishop David Oyedepo, who is the overall Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Chapel Worldwide (a.ka. Winner’s Chapel International), and also Chancellor, Landmark University, Omu-Aran, Kwara State Nigeria, has made call for urgent steps to put a check on student’s free access to the use of socal media, so that it will enable them to focus more in there destiny pursuit.
While speaking at the 2019/2020 convocation ceremony of Landmark University, he said that social media has continued to lay destructions on the destiny of so many youths. The title of his speech was “Combatting the challenges of Education without Integration”. He said social media is expected to add more values to the youths, but that hasn’t been fulfilled, but it has only brought a minus.
He went ahead and said that, The social media has done more havoc to us than we can imagine, because “everything of value delivers through investment of time”. Therefore we must create a way out to check on the free use of social media, especially those that are not adding value to the youths.
